Jenna Burris is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a proud graduate of Governors State University with a Masters in Community Counseling. She has 17 years of experience as a counselor and previously worked mentoring and leading teens and adolescents in addition to creating youth programs. Jenna has a passion for helping people change and heal. She believes in each person’s intrinsic value and ability to grow and considers it an honor to walk with clients through whatever difficulty they are facing.
Using a non-judgmental empathic approach, Jenna promotes growth, learning, self-compassion, personal responsibility, boundary-setting, utilizing resources, skill-building and a positive outlook to her work. She believes that each client knows themselves best, and that she is just a helper and guide on the journey to healing. Jenna integrates CBT and person-centered approaches and often utilizes some non-traditional modalities including, but not limited to: walking sessions, somatic visualization, emdr, metaphor, the enneagram and literature.
Jenna is licensed in both Wisconsin and Illinois.

When not working at Life Point, Jenna can be found spending time with her family, running, adventuring, playing music, laughing really hard, volunteering in the community or reading a good book.
