Cathy has gained the tools to provide therapy with her professional experience in various environments, which include residential treatment, hospitals, community agencies, and outpatient settings. She believes in creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship that encourages collaborative goal setting with an individuals’ right to autonomy. It is important that Cathy’s clients know they are their own best expert. Her role is to provide supportive pathways to recovery and utilize techniques that explore the mind/body connection. Her framework is rooted in philosophy, the mind can be used to heal the body and the body can be used to heal the mind.

“Neuroscience research shows that the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experiences and learning to befriend what is going on inside ourselves.” – Bessel A. Vander Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma.
Some changes look negative on the surface, but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge.” Eckhart Tolle.
