Lillie Dirkse, LPC-IT

Licensed Professional Counselor In-training

Lillie recently finished her Masters degree in Professional Counseling at Concordia
University of Wisconsin. Lillie believes that all individuals have the ability to think about their
behaviors and make necessary and wanted changes. Her goal for all counseling sessions is to
work collaboratively with the client to ensure that any realistic goals are met, and steps are
taken to reach those goals in a timely manner. Lillie’s hope is to facilitate growth in the client so
each client is closer to reaching their full potential. She believes that the client is the most
important person in the counseling process and her growth as a counselor stems from client
growth.

Lillie takes a holistic approach to counseling and believes that there are many internal and
external factors that influence a person’s circumstances and further, their behavior. Using a
non-judgmental and empathetic approach, Lillie tends to use techniques from a Client-Centered
Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and
Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).

Her Specialties Include:
● Trauma
● Anxiety
● Depression
● Women going through difficult transitions
● Mood and Behavioral Issues
● Life Stress making daily living less than manageable

When not at work you can find Lillie at home drinking tea or coffee and reading a book, walking
her dog, spending time with family or friends, painting, or doing DIY projects on her house.
