Miranda Yungbauer
Miranda Yungbauer is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern (LPC-IT) with a background in psychology and forensic mental health. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Liberty University and her M.A. in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School.
Miranda has experience working with adults between 18 and 64 years old, and a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, and relationship challenges. She also has experience working with individuals involved in the legal system, including those referred through probation and parole, mental health and drug courts, Child Protective Services, and pretrial intervention programs.
Her clinical experience includes individual and group counseling focused on trauma, substance and alcohol use, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, domestic violence, and sexual offense-related behaviors. Miranda draws from an integrative approach and has experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-informed interventions.
Miranda believes meaningful counseling begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. She strives to meet each client where they are, understand the experiences that have shaped them, and work together toward meaningful and lasting change. She is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care and building strong connections within the communities she serves.
