Kimberly believes and lives a life that reflects that it takes both a relationship and partnership
with God and good mental health to live a balanced life. Kimberly is a licensed professional counselor in
training who is certified in substance abuse counseling. She specializes in anxiety, depression, substance
abuse, career counseling, grief, identity, victims of domestic violence, radical acceptance, shame guilt,
letting go, moving on, self-esteem, forgiveness, stagnation, spiritual uncertainty, trauma not related to
sex, and PTSD.
Kimberly’s understanding of counseling is a collaboration between the client and a helper that
guides the client in taking inventory of his or her life to notice the problematic areas to incorporate skills
and techniques to improve or accept one’s problems. She will offer a safe place and person to whom
you can open up and release bottled up feelings and emotions. Kimberly will help you realize that
everything you need to overcome is already within you.
Kimberly’s counseling style is a non-judgmental, multicultural, cognitive behavioral, gestalt,
person-centered, talk therapy psychoeducational approach. These evidence based approaches will help
you gain insight and coping skills to help you counteract negative feelings, emotions, and behaviors. You
will notice that stagnated areas in your life start to move along.
