Kay holds a Master’s in Guidance & Counseling from UW-Stout I’m with an undergraduate degree from UW-Eau Claire in Elementary Education and Special Education. After her Master’s degree, she spent a year at Georgia State University-Atlanta in advanced studies in Marriage & Family and Integration of Theology and Psychology.
Kay is committed to keeping couples and families together and emotionally healthy, whenever possible. Using the Gottman couples materials to identify strengths and difficult areas of the relationship and helping the couple grow in relational skills are important components of couple counseling. As a former elementary counselor Kay has a special interest in developing emotionally healthy and confident children. Kay has worked in the field of counseling over the past 25 years working with couples, families, children, women’s issues, anxiety, and depression. She uses cognitive behavior therapy, relaxation techniques, family systems, play therapy techniques, EMDR and other
approaches to meet the clients’ individual needs.
Kay works with all ages including children as young as 4-5 years and adults of all ages. Kay works from a Christian worldview. Kay has appointments in our Port Washington office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 5 and Saturday mornings from 9-11.
