Jim has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and utilized that training in his twenty eight years working with a local public mental health clinic. He has expertise in Adolescent Mental Health, treating middle and high school students, as well as young adults with a variety of presenting issues. These include:
- Anger and behavior problems
- Anxiety, depression
- Delinquency, academic problems
- LGBT issues
Jim is extensively trained in and utilizes trauma-informed assessment and therapy with clients from a broad range of cultural backgrounds. Therapeutic interventions include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Mindfulness Therapy and other standard techniques with individuals, couples and families.
